FISH CREEK — The Wisconsin DNR today said that the planned opening of the new Eagle Tower and ramp has been postponed due to construction delays. A new opening day has not yet been set.

The reopening has been highly anticipated since the previous tower closed in 2015.

The reopening had been planned for April 30.

The new tower is 60 feet tall, compared to 75 feet for the old tower. The ramp meets ADA guidelines with a rise of 1 foot per 12 feet of length. There are also level sections every 30 feet.

Due to the difference in height, the view from the new tower is close to what it once was, but not identical to the view from the original tower.

While construction may be finished on the tower and ramp, the DNR asks that you do not climb the tower or enter the ramp until they are fully open to the public.
